Closing pool and Winterizing

!±8± Closing pool and Winterizing

Inground Closing / Winter

It goes back to school time and fall upon us, so you know what that means! It 'almost time to close the pool for the season and the following data are needed to close the pool properly.

1 Approximately 3 to 5 days before the end of your pool, pool water balance is required for the following areas:

pH: 7.2 to 7.6

Alkalinity: 80 to 120 ppm

Calcium Hardness: 180 to 220 ppm

2 We thenshould shock the pool with a shock of chlorine or chlorine-free, if you prefer. Follow the directions recommended on the package, but please note that you must get at least £ 1 per 10 000 liters of water. Allow the chlorine level returns to 1.0 to 3.0 ppm before each algaecide and winter sports cover in winter. It is recommended not to add winter algaecide at this time, because chlorine tends to reduce the algaecide.

3 Now is the time to collect all winterProvides swimming nearby, including the cover, the water pipes, and connectors for the return jets, skimmers, and appropriate chemicals. You also need a compressor or shop vac high performance.

4 It is advisable to clean the pool before closing. Skim, vacuum and brush the pool.

5 Lower the water level with the following guidelines:

- Vinyl Liner: Lower water 1 to 2 inches below the skimmer opening.

- Using the coverage of network security or Solid: 12 inches below the skimmerOpening.

- Sprayed concrete / cement pool: 6 inches below the skimmer opening.

- Using automatic cover: the water level must not be less than that of the skimmer opening.

6 Backwash the filter to clean thoroughly. Let the water from the filter. On sand or cartridge filter, unscrew the bottom of the cap and take him out. On diatomaceous earth filters, open the backwash valve and leave it open in the winter. If you do not want to leave water in the multi-port valve or other valves. BlowValves and filters with a compressor or shop vac.

7 The drain plug (s) of the pump and disconnect the pump and filter. Loosen frozen taken to avoid any possible danger or unions.

8 drain plugs collect and store them in the skimmer or pump basket for easy access when it is time to reopen in the spring.

9 If your pool has a heater, remove the drain plug and drain the water heater must complete. You can also save the drain plugs inthe skimmer or pump basket for easy access into the spring. With the compressor or shop vac, blow any remaining water from the stove. No need to remove the tray or heat exchanger.

10 Remove all taps water jet back in the pool. Remove all skimmer baskets. Remove railings, ladders, safety ropes and floats, and do not forget the trampoline!

11 The filter section, turn off all return to the compressor or shop vac. Make sure all the wateris removed from the lines and connect all the lines blown plugs in the winter. Shot skimmer line (s) and once all the water, the vine a "Gizzmo" winter or plug into the skimmer. Winter when a plug is used, you must allow an empty bottle of plastic or Styrofoam skimmer position for the expansion of water and ice to prevent damage to the skimmer. If there is a car-vac system, water drop functions, etc., are all water blown out of these lines and the compressoror shop-VAC and appropriately for the winter.

12 If there is a main channel, you must shut down this line as well. Again, use the compressor or shop vac. Since the air blowing bubbles through the tube and in the pool, put the line or close the valve near the filter.

13 Close all clear lines in the vicinity of the filter tape. This will always prevent debris in the pipes in winter.

14 Now you can add the winter algaecide.

15 Point theWinter cover over the pool.

Place the water pipes 16 and then loops through the cover, if any. Fill the tubes with a garden hose at full capacity to 80%. Do not over expand the air lines, you can fill and do not want to break!

** These are general guidelines on how to work a background pool. For more detailed instructions, consult a pool shop or service engineer in your area **
